Can the nPower® PEG charge laptops? No. Laptops require more power than the nPower® PEG is currently able to deliver.
Will the nPower® PEG charge multiple devices at the same time? Although your nPower® PEG can be used to charge multiple hand-held devices, it can only be plugged into one device at a time.
Is the nPower® PEG like the shake flashlight? The nPower® PEG is based on the same basic principles as the shake flashlight, but additional technological advancements in kinetic energy harvesting allow the PEG to deliver substantially more power. The additional mechanical, electrical, and circuitry components are the core of nPower's® technology, allowing it to harness energy passively (as opposed to deliberately shaking the device). Shake flashlights have proven to be effective for emitting light, but they cannot deliver enough power to charge a handheld electronic device.
How long will my nPower® PEG last? The nPower® PEG comes with a one-year warranty. Theoretically, the unit will never cease delivering power, however the PEG is currently undergoing testing to determine any limitations on component life.
Is the nPower® PEG waterproof? The components inside the PEG are sealed, so they are resistant to dirt, water, and other contaminants. The USB port is not currently waterproof, and we are working on a solution for this.
Does the nPower® PEG work while riding in a car? The nPower® PEG does produce limited amounts of power if sitting stationary in a moving vehicle (unless your vehicle needs new shocks or if you're on a very rough road).
Does the nPower® PEG work when riding a bike? When riding a bike, you can carry your PEG in a backpack or strap it to your leg with an optional nPower® leg band (available soon) to recharge your devices. Is it possible to be shocked by the nPower® PEG? No, the PEG is not an electrical shock hazard.
